WAVE Mobile Communicators are available for Android and iOS clients. They will operate on small smartphone devices or on larger screen tablet displays. They are available in the application store for Android and iOS.
WAVE Mobile Communicators do require a cellular or WiFi data connection to the Internet in order to connect to the WAVE OnCloud Broadband system. They do not require a functioning WAVE OnCloud Gateway in order to communicate with each other, but do require one for communication with radio clients.
To install a WAVE Mobile Communicator
- On your iOS or Android device, open the App Store or Google Play and search for the WAVE Mobile Communicator. Multiple versions may exist. Ensure you select WAVE PTT (5.12)
- Install the application on your device.
To sign-in using a WAVE Mobile Communicator
- On your mobile device, tap the WAVE icon to launch the WAVE Mobile Communicator.
- Select OnCloud.
- In USERNAME enter your user name followed by the ‘@’ symbol and your Customer alias. Then enter your PASSWORD.
If you do not know your Customer Alias, you can check by clicking Users and viewing the USERNAME. The Customer Alias is automatically assigned to each User. In the following example the Customer Alias is ‘barrocom.’
Important: The Customer Alias is not an email address. It is a means for the WAVE OnCloud system to differentiate between Customer accounts.
- Tap the Sign In button.
After connecting, the main screen opens.
